Terms of Use

Welcome to LookLokal (the “Platform”), operated by LookLokal (“we”, “us”). By browsing the Platform, signing in or listing a business, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What LookLokal is

LookLokal is a discovery platform that helps people in Nalagandla, Hyderabad find local home businesses, shops and service providers. We only display information supplied by sellers and let customers contact sellers directly by phone or WhatsApp. We are an intermediary. We do not sell, deliver or provide any product or service, we do not take payments, and we are not a party to any transaction or arrangement between a customer and a seller.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to apply as a seller. Customers under 18 should use the Platform with a parent or guardian.
  • You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Seller applications are currently open only to businesses located in the service area around Nalagandla, Hyderabad.

3. Seller obligations

If you list a business, you confirm and agree that:

  • all information you provide (name, phone, address, photos, prices, PAN details, FSSAI number) is true, current and belongs to you or your business;
  • you hold every licence and registration your business needs under Indian law, including a valid FSSAI licence or registration for food businesses;
  • you will not list illegal, counterfeit, hazardous, adult or prohibited goods or services, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • you own, or have permission to use, every photo and text you upload;
  • you are solely responsible for your products, services, pricing, quality, delivery, refunds, taxes (including GST where applicable) and dealings with customers;
  • you will not post fake reviews, spam, or misleading offers, and will not misuse the Platform or other users’ contact details.

Listings may be limited to protect the Platform (for example, up to 10 listings and a fixed number of photos per seller). We may change these limits.

4. Verification and approval

Sellers are reviewed before going live. We check PAN details and, for food sellers, that an FSSAI number has been provided. This is a basic screening only. Approval is not an endorsement, certification or guarantee of any seller, product or service. Customers should use their own judgement before buying or paying anyone.

5. Reviews, reports and content

  • Signed-in customers may post one review per seller. Reviews must be honest, based on real experience, and must not contain abuse, hate, personal data or unlawful content.
  • Anyone signed in can report a seller, listing or review. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms or the law.
  • You keep ownership of what you post. You give LookLokal a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, resize and promote that content on the Platform and in its marketing, for as long as it is on the Platform.

6. Our intellectual property

The LookLokal name, logo, design, text and software are owned by LookLokal and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, scrape, resell or reuse them without written permission. Sellers’ and reviewers’ content remains theirs as described above.

7. Suspension and removal

We may reject, suspend or remove any seller, listing or review at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms, is unsafe or inaccurate, or if we receive a valid complaint. You can ask us to delete your listing or account at any time by writing to support.looklokal@gmail.com.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, complete or up to date, that any seller will respond, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not verify the quality, safety, legality or hygiene of any product or service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LookLokal is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from dealings between customers and sellers, from reliance on listing content, or from use of or inability to use the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Complaints and Grievance Officer

To report objectionable content, a privacy concern or any other complaint, write to the Grievance Officer, LookLokal, at support.looklokal@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 15 days. You can also use the Report button on any seller, listing or review.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Hyderabad, Telangana will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
